The Unknown: That’s Where The Magic Happens

A few years ago I decided to start teaching offline workshops. I just had a nagging feeling that this is how I should serve people.

I have never done any public speaking before, or organize events.
Filled with fear, doubt, uncertainty about my expertise.

I kept trying to talk myself out of doing it using a list of excuses: No one is going to sign for my free workshops, no one knows me, I will look foolish to the friends and family I have shared these visions with, and the list got longer.

But I kept pressing forward. I made a decision to step out of my comfort zone and into the unknown.

Step Outside Your Element

Step Outside Your Element

Yes, it’s true that when you step outside your element, you start the process of becoming the person you want to be.

You will be forced to face your fears, doubts, and uncertainty and do things you know were possible.

We often live our lives with the “I cannot,” “I don’t want to,” or “it’s too difficult” thoughts that keep us stuck.

Fear is the fuel for our negative thoughts. Those thoughts control us and keep us from finding our true self.

The Unknown Is Frightening

Your comfort zone is the basis of your life now. It’s how you define who and what you currently are.

The unknown makes your hearts pump faster, make us break out into a cold sweat and yet, we yearn to see what’s there.

To step into the unknown, you have to stop trying to predict your future results based on the life you have now.

You must start believing in what’s possible.

What would happen if you start believing in what’s possible?

Would bad things happen? Or would you be excited about life and the future?

Yes, you will experience some challenges. But in those challenges, you will see bigger possibilities.

How To Step Into The Unknown?

Ask yourself these questions, and answer them honestly.

Are there things you want to achieve but haven’t yet?
Are you dissatisfied with your daily life?
Do you want to achieve bigger things?
Do your goals and passions keep appearing, tugging at you?
Are there material or immaterial things you want that you don’t have?
Are you struggling with finding meaning in your life?
Are you feeling jealous of others who have achieved or done things you secretly want?

Once you’ve answered these questions, think about the feelings that are keeping you from going after what you want.

If you need some help, here is a list of 100 Ways to Describe How You Feel.

What makes you uncomfortable? Are you reluctant to take chances or make changes, why?

Write Down 10 Things That Scare You.

Now describe how it would feel if you were living outside your comfort zone. Be as detailed as possible. Describe in detail how it feels, what you see, hear or where you are. Use images, color, or visualization to help you create your life.

Take your time with these steps.

Once you understand what’s keeping you from stepping into the unknown, you can begin taking small steps beyond your comfort zone.

This is the first step to experiencing what’s possible for you.

Because I made the decision to step out of my comfort zone and into the unknown by started doing the offline workshops I have had experiences that I never would have known was possible.
